The light of distant places caught.
Imprisoned forever on film.
Snapped in an instant.
The pasts reflection.
Gone now.
Ever present.

This Life is Mine

Opinion is just an opinion,
With no wisdom behind the thought.
Gagging on self righteous views,
How others feel it should be sought.
Choking the ventricle of creative mind.
Be damned with this box,
This life is mine.

A Mystery?

Is love really a mystery?

Is it not the wind in the leaves,
The ocean tide.
A sunset, a sunrise.
The lifting of a veil;
To your underbelly.
The belief in something real.
Yes, Love can hurt.
You can also squint from the sun,
Or drown in the ocean.
But I’d rather drown in your arms.

In Misery Remain?

This journey belongs to us and yet,
We relinquish handfuls of essence,
And toil to feel present.
Eagerly bending to the will of others,
To feed our own ego, for financial gain,
To keep in good stead,
And in good conscience remain!
The balance of power cries out within,
Guilt is consuming, don’t step out of line!
Barely time left to feed heart and brain,
And fulfill our own wanting,
In misery remain?

Right to Fight

Pleasure mounts at rivers mouth.
Release your tension to me.
Unleash the beast that keeps your heart,
Cowering below the tide.
Into the fiery pit of life,
We’ll dance and join once more.
With every groan and sweat filled moan,
Reclaim the right to fight.

Run from your father.

Run till you bleed.
Run till you cough ember.
Run from this gross misdeed.

Then hide till you heal.
Hide till you can trust.
Hide till you can feel.
Hide, well, until you must.

Kill the venom in your blood.
Kill the taste of shame.
Kill the hatred in your soul.
Kill the thing that maims.

Then live with all your might.
Live with shadow no more.
Live; cry out and shout with delight.
Live with your pasts dank door.

Love with a vengeance on the pain.
Love others like they were you, reborn.
Love like you’ve never been hurt.
Love till all the tatters are torn.

Leave this earth with gentleness.
Leave it enriched and engorged.
Leave it a little less lonely.
Leave it in love, submerged.
